Another Way Vegan Burger Mix, 1.75kg
A dry catering pack for smash burgers, traditional patties, meatballs, pies, pasta and pizza. Just add cold water. The full bag plus 3.25 litres of water makes 5kg of hydrated mix. A smaller batch is 350g of mix plus 750ml of water, which makes 1kg.
Shake the bag before use so the mix is even. Add cold water and mix well, with no dry pockets left. Leave for at least 5 minutes. It will firm up further if left for 30 minutes. Once hydrated, keep it in an airtight box in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 6 months.
Smash burgers: about 65g a ball, press to about 0.5cm, cook 2 minutes a side until the edges are crisp.
Traditional burgers: 110–125g patties, 8–10 minutes, turning.
Ingredients:
Textured soya protein, vegetable suet (non-hydrogenated vegetable fat 85%, contains RSPO-certified palm, rice flour 15%), pea flake, isolated soya protein, emulsifier: methylcellulose, thickener: carrageenan, yeast extract, tapioca starch, salt, beetroot powder, powdered shiitake mushroom, acidity regulator: lactic acid, black pepper, onion powder, sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, tomato powder.
